Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR), which rose 1.08% or 0.60 points to trade at 55.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx PLC (AS:REL) added 0.70% or 0.32 points to end at 45.90 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was up 0.55% or 0.19 points to 34.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which fell 3.60% or 1.23 points to trade at 32.98 at the close. Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) declined 2.82% or 40.60 points to end at 1,400.40 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.71% or 9.80 points to 564.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 52 to 42 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.31% or 2.07 to $64.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 3.02% or 1.99 to hit $67.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 34.69 to trade at $3,311.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.22.
