Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc), which rose 0.08% or 0.03 points to trade at 35.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx NV (AS:RELN) fell 0.19% or 0.030 points to end at 15.910 and Unilever NV (AS:UNc) was down 0.20% or 0.07 points to 37.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegon (AS:AEGN), which fell 1.94% or 0.101 points to trade at 5.099 at the close. NN Group (AS:NN) declined 1.84% or 0.59 points to end at 31.66 and KPN Kon (AS:KPN) was down 1.71% or 0.045 points to 2.590.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 83 to 42 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 7.42% to 14.73.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.11% or 0.60 to $53.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.39% or 0.79 to hit $56.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 10.95 to trade at $1231.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.0739, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8621.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 100.02.
