Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Telecoms and Construction & Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which rose 5.91% or 0.42 points to trade at 7.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Altice NV (AS:ATCA) added 4.22% or 0.67 points to end at 16.41 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) was up 3.98% or 0.20 points to 5.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:HEIN), which fell 1.17% or 0.97 points to trade at 82.15 at the close. Randstad (AS:RAND) declined 0.37% or 0.20 points to end at 54.13 and Relx NV (AS:RELN) was down 0.13% or 0.020 points to 15.530.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 127 to 51 and 2 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.16% to 20.05.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.86% or 0.40 to $46.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.26% or 0.62 to hit $48.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.58% or 6.60 to trade at $1134.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1021, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.7146.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.94.
