Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Kon (AS:DSMN), which rose 2.57% or 1.47 points to trade at 58.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 1.05% or 0.680 points to end at 65.680 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP) was up 0.76% or 1.70 points to 225.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA), which fell 1.03% or 0.076 points to trade at 7.269 at the close. Aalberts Industries (AS:AALB) declined 0.93% or 0.29 points to end at 30.75 and SBM Offshore (AS:SBMO) was down 0.80% or 0.12 points to 14.94.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 58 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) rose to all time highs; up 1.05% or 0.680 to 65.680.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.72% to 14.13.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.63% or 0.34 to $54.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.44% or 0.25 to hit $57.14 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.70% or 8.30 to trade at $1173.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.0541, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8578.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 102.13.
