Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 8.88% or 8.67 points to trade at 106.35 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) added 4.69% or 20.00 points to end at 446.30 and Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) was up 3.08% or 0.17 points to 5.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 1.36% or 0.39 points to trade at 28.32 at the close. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) declined 1.11% or 0.47 points to end at 41.89 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 0.93% or 0.04 points to 3.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 67 to 29 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.32% or 1.54 to $67.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.07% or 1.44 to hit $71.00 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 25.81 to trade at $2,946.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 103.44.
