Stock market today: S&P 500 ekes out gain as Trump says open to deals on tariffs
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG), which rose 5.13% or 1.00 points to trade at 20.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 3.63% or 1.32 points to end at 37.65 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was up 3.51% or 54.20 points to 1,596.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which fell 3.52% or 1.11 points to trade at 30.42 at the close. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 0.88% or 1.25 points to end at 141.60 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was down 0.13% or 0.06 points to 45.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 75 to 22 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 5.61% or 3.84 to $64.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 5.66% or 3.99 to hit $66.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.01% or 68.40 to trade at $3,326.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 97.58.
