Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.83% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which rose 3.45% or 18.80 points to trade at 564.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS:PRX) added 2.97% or 1.16 points to end at 40.03 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) was up 2.56% or 0.69 points to 27.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which fell 1.01% or 0.42 points to trade at 41.13 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 0.84% or 0.13 points to end at 15.83 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) was down 0.58% or 9.00 points to 1,544.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 32 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.11% or 1.50 to $72.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.83% or 1.37 to hit $76.03 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.38% or 39.76 to trade at $2,927.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.12.
