ASML no longer confirms 2026 growth, shares fall over 7% despite Q2 beat
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.70% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 4.75% or 5.45 points to trade at 120.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 3.49% or 1.30 points to end at 38.54 and Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) was up 3.13% or 0.94 points to 30.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which fell 2.23% or 0.52 points to trade at 22.84 at the close. NN Group NV (AS:NN) declined 1.61% or 0.92 points to end at 56.16 and Prosus (AS:PRX) was down 0.87% or 0.42 points to 47.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 62 to 30 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.72% or 0.47 to $65.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.73% or 0.49 to hit $67.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 8.48 to trade at $3,346.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 99.03.
