Investing.com’s stocks of the week
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 2.71% or 3.00 points to trade at 113.60 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) added 2.10% or 10.40 points to end at 505.40 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 1.33% or 0.27 points to 20.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which fell 1.03% or 0.04 points to trade at 4.13 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 0.86% or 0.23 points to end at 26.61 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was down 0.75% or 0.42 points to 55.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 50 to 46 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.96% or 1.24 to $64.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.78% or 1.16 to hit $66.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 20.90 to trade at $3,354.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 99.14.
