Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Exor NV (AS:EXOR), which rose 3.66% or 3.25 points to trade at 92.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) added 3.04% or 47.20 points to end at 1,599.60 and Prosus (AS:PRX) was up 2.51% or 0.93 points to 37.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 1.75% or 9.80 points to trade at 549.40 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.33% or 0.35 points to end at 25.94 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) was down 1.31% or 1.28 points to 96.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 49 to 48 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.04% or 47.20 to 1,599.60.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.23% or 0.17 to $72.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.63% or 0.48 to hit $76.44 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 13.29 to trade at $2,870.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 107.90.
