Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.76% or 0.72 points to trade at 26.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) added 1.88% or 31.20 points to end at 1,687.40 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 1.76% or 0.40 points to 23.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:HEIN), which fell 3.20% or 2.50 points to trade at 75.60 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) declined 1.22% or 0.34 points to end at 27.57 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) was down 0.97% or 0.94 points to 95.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 64 to 34 and 8 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.40% or 1.71 to $69.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.41% or 1.79 to hit $72.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.87% or 29.88 to trade at $3,422.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 97.46.
