Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which rose 2.73% or 13.80 points to trade at 519.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS:RAND) added 1.94% or 0.71 points to end at 37.24 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 1.87% or 12.50 points to 680.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relx PLC (AS:REL), which fell 1.19% or 0.56 points to trade at 46.62 at the close. Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) declined 1.02% or 17.60 points to end at 1,707.20 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) was down 0.80% or 1.25 points to 154.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 31 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.34% or 0.22 to $64.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $66.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 4.21 to trade at $3,350.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 98.94.
