Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which rose 2.74% or 13.00 points to trade at 487.10 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 2.69% or 2.80 points to end at 106.75 and Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) was up 1.80% or 0.53 points to 29.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG), which fell 2.02% or 0.56 points to trade at 27.10 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) declined 1.37% or 0.51 points to end at 36.61 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was down 0.94% or 0.25 points to 26.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 53 to 45 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.63% or 1.02 to $63.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.61% or 1.04 to hit $65.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 22.48 to trade at $3,374.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 99.13.
