Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.20% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which rose 2.54% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) added 1.68% or 0.45 points to end at 27.28 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) was up 1.06% or 0.39 points to 37.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which fell 2.02% or 13.80 points to trade at 668.40 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 1.90% or 2.20 points to end at 113.30 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was down 1.23% or 0.34 points to 27.36.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 38 and 5 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.53% or 0.94 to $62.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.38% or 0.89 to hit $65.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.26% or 40.64 to trade at $3,185.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.42% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 101.08.
