Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which rose 1.83% or 0.57 points to trade at 31.71 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 0.94% or 0.15 points to end at 16.16 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was up 0.83% or 0.03 points to 3.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 2.10% or 12.40 points to trade at 576.80 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 1.47% or 1.65 points to end at 110.95 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 1.31% or 9.90 points to 747.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 51 to 50 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.29% or 2.45 to $76.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.14% or 2.45 to hit $80.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 3.10 to trade at $2,664.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.23.
