Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aegon NV (AS:AEGN), which rose 2.69% or 0.118 points to trade at 4.503 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) added 1.98% or 1.28 points to end at 66.07 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was up 1.92% or 0.60 points to 31.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heineken (AS:HEIN), which fell 0.06% or 0.05 points to trade at 87.27 at the close. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 0.05% or 0.02 points to end at 38.41 and Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA) was down 0.05% or 0.02 points to 40.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 91 to 37 and 8 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.96% to 10.31 a new 1-month low.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.74% or 0.34 to $45.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.88% or 0.42 to hit $48.28 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.56 to trade at $1271.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1200, while EUR/GBP rose 0.74% to 0.8799.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.24.
