Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Mining and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.68% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which rose 5.98% or 1.65 points to trade at 29.25 at the close. Meanwhile, AFMA SA (CS:AFM) added 3.33% or 30 points to end at 930 and Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) was up 3.32% or 9.95 points to 309.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which fell 9.99% or 148 points to trade at 1333 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) declined 9.97% or 14.75 points to end at 133.25 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was down 8.09% or 9.10 points to 103.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in AFMA SA (CS:AFM) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.33% or 30 to 930.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.42% or 0.20 to $47.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.63 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.65 to trade at $1246.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.05% to 10.7680, while USD/MAD rose 0.07% to 9.9849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 99.52.
