Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Beverage and Holding Companies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Salafin (CS:SLF), which rose 5.89% or 48 points to trade at 856 at the close. Meanwhile, Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM) added 2.95% or 23.90 points to end at 835.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 2.77% or 2.49 points to 92.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM), which fell 9.77% or 195 points to trade at 1800 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) declined 3.83% or 90 points to end at 2260 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was down 3.50% or 11.55 points to 318.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.49% or 0.22 to $44.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.17% or 0.08 to hit $46.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.58% or 20.19 to trade at $1255.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.18% to 10.9170, while USD/MAD rose 0.43% to 9.7922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 97.47.
