Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Electrical & Electronic equipment and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 6.00% or 138 points to trade at 2439 at the close. Meanwhile, Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) added 5.97% or 20.50 points to end at 364.00 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was up 4.93% or 1.16 points to 24.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS), which fell 6.12% or 300 points to trade at 4600 at the close. CDM (CS:CDM) declined 5.99% or 30 points to end at 473 and Timar (CS:TIM) was down 5.98% or 12.70 points to 199.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 24 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 5.97% or 20.50 to 364.00. Shares in Timar (CS:TIM) fell to all time lows; losing 5.98% or 12.70 to 199.55.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.37% or 0.20 to $53.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.16% or 0.09 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.05 to trade at $1239.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.6990, while USD/MAD rose 0.35% to 10.0784.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 100.89.
