Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 8.27% or 15.20 points to trade at 198.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) added 5.99% or 7.75 points to end at 137.05 and Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU) was up 5.91% or 68 points to 1218 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 5.48% or 3.09 points to trade at 53.30 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 5.33% or 1.97 points to end at 35.00 and Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) was down 4.17% or 100 points to 2300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 19 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.01% or 0.54 to $52.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.63% or 0.35 to hit $55.14 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.02% or 12.25 to trade at $1217.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.42% to 10.7520, while USD/MAD rose 0.04% to 10.0142.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 100.26.
