Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 9.99% or 46.70 points to trade at 514.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Alliances (CS:ADI) added 9.97% or 19 points to end at 209 and Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) was up 5.98% or 47 points to 837 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lydec (CS:LYD), which fell 8.82% or 60.00 points to trade at 620.00 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) declined 5.26% or 9.00 points to end at 162.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was down 3.83% or 3.60 points to 90.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 27 to 26 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Snep (CS:SNP) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.99% or 46.70 to 514.20. Shares in Alliances (CS:ADI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.97% or 19 to 209.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.02% or 0.47 to $46.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.99% or 0.48 to hit $48.90 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 10.75 to trade at $1228.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 11.0310, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 9.6296.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 95.00.
