Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lydec (CS:LYD), which rose 8.17% or 49.00 points to trade at 649.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Eqdom (CS:EQDM) added 2.80% or 30 points to end at 1100 and Disway SA (CS:DWY) was up 2.56% or 9.50 points to 380.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which fell 3.77% or 0.90 points to trade at 22.99 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) declined 3.05% or 40 points to end at 1271 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 2.98% or 0.95 points to 30.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lydec (CS:LYD) rose to all time highs; gaining 8.17% or 49.00 to 649.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.78% or 0.88 to $50.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.87% or 0.98 to hit $53.49 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1252.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.29% to 10.9270, while USD/MAD fell 0.45% to 9.7645.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 97.13.
