Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.24%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 9.19% or 8.25 points to trade at 98.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 5.80% or 1.16 points to end at 21.16 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) was up 5.77% or 73 points to 1338 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which fell 5.87% or 34 points to trade at 545 at the close. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) declined 2.79% or 65 points to end at 2262 and Timar (CS:TIM) was down 2.73% or 6.00 points to 214.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.

Shares in Oulmes (CS:OULM) rose to all time highs; rising 5.77% or 73 to 1338. Shares in Timar (CS:TIM) fell to all time lows; down 2.73% or 6.00 to 214.00.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.66% or 0.29 to $44.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $45.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.94% or 25.25 to trade at $1279.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.53% to 10.8410, while USD/MAD rose 0.36% to 9.8211.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.92% at 97.83.
