Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM), which rose 9.51% or 24.50 points to trade at 282.00 at the close. Meanwhile, M2M Group (CS:M2M) added 7.88% or 23.00 points to end at 315.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 5.03% or 4.60 points to 96.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AFMA SA (CS:AFM), which fell 4.69% or 46 points to trade at 934 at the close. Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) declined 2.74% or 38.0 points to end at 1350.0 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was down 1.96% or 26 points to 1303.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 16 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.08% or 0.04 to $49.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.88% or 11.23 to trade at $1266.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.29% to 10.8340, while USD/MAD fell 0.46% to 9.8954.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 98.58.
