Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Insurance and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which rose 6.83% or 85 points to trade at 1329 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 6.59% or 6.00 points to end at 97.00 and Eqdom (CS:EQDM) was up 4.17% or 44 points to 1100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM), which fell 5.20% or 14.50 points to trade at 264.50 at the close. Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) declined 3.56% or 4.10 points to end at 111.00 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) was down 3.03% or 1.58 points to 50.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) fell to all time lows; down 3.56% or 4.10 to 111.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.20% or 0.10 to $50.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $52.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1282.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.15% to 10.7570, while USD/MAD fell 0.24% to 10.0052.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 99.56.
