Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Food Producers & Processors and Beverage sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 1.90% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU), which rose 8.74% or 10.85 points to trade at 135.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Unimer (CS:UMR) added 5.98% or 9.70 points to end at 171.80 and M2M Group (CS:M2M) was up 5.76% or 19.00 points to 349.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which fell 5.78% or 8.10 points to trade at 132.00 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 3.32% or 4.15 points to end at 120.70 and Taslif (CS:TSF1) was down 3.00% or 0.93 points to 30.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 34 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.20% or 0.61 to $51.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.43% or 0.23 to hit $54.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.84% or 9.85 to trade at $1162.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.52% to 10.6440, while USD/MAD rose 0.16% to 10.0977.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 101.68.
