Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Mining and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CTM (CS:CTM), which rose 7.88% or 48.00 points to trade at 657.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 5.96% or 1.67 points to end at 29.67 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was up 5.43% or 74 points to 1436 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE), which fell 4.38% or 9.55 points to trade at 208.45 at the close. Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) declined 3.21% or 85 points to end at 2560 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was down 2.89% or 5.00 points to 168.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.43% or 74 to 1436.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.66% or 0.89 to $52.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.55% or 0.88 to hit $55.94 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.83% or 9.55 to trade at $1161.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.41% to 10.5930, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 10.1705.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 103.18.
