Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM), which rose 3.90% or 80 points to trade at 2130 at the close. Meanwhile, Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 3.87% or 1.19 points to end at 31.90 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 3.18% or 1.45 points to 47.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 5.98% or 13.70 points to trade at 215.30 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) declined 5.95% or 83 points to end at 1311 and Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) was down 5.09% or 44 points to 820.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 17 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.77% or 0.38 to $49.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.86% or 0.45 to hit $52.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 4.75 to trade at $1253.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.11% to 10.9030, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.8000.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 97.51.
