Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Chemicals and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 9.98% or 50 points to trade at 556 at the close. Meanwhile, Risma (CS:RIS) added 9.96% or 12.45 points to end at 137.45 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was up 7.06% or 44 points to 674 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM), which fell 4.96% or 72 points to trade at 1380 at the close. Jet Contractors (CS:JET) declined 2.99% or 4.00 points to end at 130.00 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was down 2.34% or 1.36 points to 56.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonasid (CS:SOND) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.98% or 50 to 556. Shares in Risma (CS:RIS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.96% or 12.45 to 137.45. Shares in Jet Contractors (CS:JET) fell to all time lows; falling 2.99% or 4.00 to 130.00. Shares in BMCI (CS:BMCI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 7.06% or 44 to 674.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.22% or 0.56 to $46.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.04% or 0.50 to hit $48.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1255.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 11.0970, while USD/MAD rose 0.10% to 9.5327.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.86.
