Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 6.65% or 5.79 points to trade at 92.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Eqdom (CS:EQDM) added 5.31% or 56 points to end at 1111 and Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA) was up 4.71% or 126 points to 2799 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 5.79% or 12.55 points to trade at 204.05 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 4.12% or 1.29 points to end at 30.00 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 1.74% or 0.73 points to 41.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eqdom (CS:EQDM) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.31% or 56 to 1111. Shares in Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.71% or 126 to 2799. Shares in Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.74% or 0.73 to 41.13.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.08% or 0.52 to $47.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.95% or 0.48 to hit $50.15 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 9.33 to trade at $1276.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.9590, while USD/MAD fell 0.31% to 9.7221.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 96.69.
