Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Beverage and Holding Companies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.47% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 5.96% or 70 points to trade at 1245 at the close. Meanwhile, Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) added 5.00% or 100 points to end at 2100 and CDM (CS:CDM) was up 4.55% or 20 points to 460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which fell 5.83% or 2.10 points to trade at 33.90 at the close. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 5.05% or 5.00 points to end at 94.00 and Risma (CS:RIS) was down 3.24% or 3.45 points to 103.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 28 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Taslif (CS:TSF1) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.83% or 2.10 to 33.90.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.26% or 0.13 to $50.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.85 to trade at $1263.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 10.8220, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.8475.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.81.
