Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Real Estate and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which rose 5.53% or 72 points to trade at 1375 at the close. Meanwhile, AFMA SA (CS:AFM) added 4.93% or 46 points to end at 980 and Involys (CS:INV) was up 3.36% or 4.00 points to 123.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 5.99% or 13.05 points to trade at 204.80 at the close. Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) declined 5.97% or 179 points to end at 2820 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was down 2.84% or 39 points to 1335.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.42% or 0.21 to $49.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $52.54 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.22 to trade at $1263.98 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.19% to 10.8060, while USD/MAD rose 0.37% to 9.9381.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 99.12.
