Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 8.41% or 5.35 points to trade at 69.00 at the close. Meanwhile, LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) added 3.99% or 65 points to end at 1696 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 3.48% or 14 points to 401 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 9.43% or 2.50 points to trade at 24.00 at the close. S2M (CS:S2M) declined 9.40% or 28.00 points to end at 270.00 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was down 5.98% or 60 points to 940.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.98% or 60 to 940.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.42% or 1.22 to $51.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.86% or 1.10 to hit $60.09 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.15 to trade at $1288.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.50% to 10.8661, while USD/MAD rose 0.19% to 9.5350.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 95.738.
