Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Invest Companies & Other Finance, Pharmaceutical Industry and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.62% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR), which rose 7.88% or 4.72 points to trade at 64.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Jet Contractors (CSE:JET) added 6.52% or 56.90 points to end at 930.00 and Societe d’Exploitation des Ports SA (CSE:MSA) was up 5.63% or 22.80 points to 427.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS), which fell 3.68% or 1.39 points to trade at 36.40 at the close. S2M (CSE:S2M) declined 2.94% or 7.00 points to end at 231.00 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA) was down 2.63% or 0.42 points to 15.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 31 to 20 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jet Contractors (CSE:JET) rose to all time highs; rising 6.52% or 56.90 to 930.00. Shares in Societe d’Exploitation des Ports SA (CSE:MSA) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.63% or 22.80 to 427.80.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.27% or 1.58 to $68.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.03% or 1.48 to hit $71.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 5.15 to trade at $2,689.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.79, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 100.35.
