Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Forestry & Paper and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 5.69% or 70 points to trade at 1300 at the close. Meanwhile, Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 5.53% or 1.54 points to end at 29.40 and Hps (CS:HPS) was up 3.41% or 30.00 points to 910.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which fell 5.66% or 6.90 points to trade at 115.10 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) declined 4.21% or 4.00 points to end at 91.00 and Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) was down 3.02% or 3.40 points to 109.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) fell to all time lows; down 5.66% or 6.90 to 115.10. Shares in Hps (CS:HPS) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.41% or 30.00 to 910.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.56% or 0.82 to $51.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.58% or 0.87 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 11.10 to trade at $1283.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.7400, while USD/MAD rose 0.11% to 10.0265.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 99.69.
