Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financial Services and Telecoms Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 2.92% or 0.620 points to trade at 21.880 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 2.68% or 1.630 points to end at 62.540 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 2.46% or 0.75 points to 31.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which fell 3.31% or 4.510 points to trade at 131.580 at the close. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) declined 3.20% or 2.770 points to end at 83.800 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) was down 3.17% or 1.620 points to 49.420.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 185 to 114 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.37% or 16.35 to $1212.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $52.79 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.17 to trade at $55.49 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.05% to 20.8259, while EUR/MXN fell 0.05% to 22.4815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.89% at 99.53.
