Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Industrials and Telecoms Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.38% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which rose 2.58% or 2.61 points to trade at 103.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) added 1.70% or 5.49 points to end at 328.35 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) was up 1.42% or 0.810 points to 57.780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB), which fell 2.14% or 1.270 points to trade at 58.190 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 1.77% or 0.360 points to end at 19.940 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) was down 1.73% or 0.32 points to 18.21.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 125 to 104 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.73% or 0.32 to 18.21.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.36% or 4.60 to $1278.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.72% or 0.40 to hit $55.30 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $61.84 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.02% to 19.2358, while EUR/MXN fell 0.16% to 22.6619.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.72.
