Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which rose 2.88% or 0.940 points to trade at 33.540 at the close. Meanwhile, El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) added 1.68% or 2.19 points to end at 132.90 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was up 1.67% or 0.740 points to 45.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which fell 2.93% or 0.56 points to trade at 18.57 at the close. Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) declined 2.13% or 0.680 points to end at 31.210 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) was down 2.12% or 1.350 points to 62.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 176 to 80 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.93% or 0.56 to 18.57. Shares in Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.67% or 0.740 to 45.000.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 1.82 to $1285.52 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $57.02 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.07 to trade at $63.88 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.01% to 19.0424, while EUR/MXN fell 0.01% to 22.1690.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 94.42.
