Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 3.56% or 0.620 points to trade at 18.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 2.32% or 6.700 points to end at 295.380 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) was up 1.90% or 3.450 points to 184.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO), which fell 2.44% or 0.300 points to trade at 11.990 at the close. Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) declined 2.29% or 0.550 points to end at 23.500 and Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB) was down 2.16% or 1.250 points to 56.510.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 90 to 78 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.32% or 6.700 to 295.380. Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) rose to all time highs; rising 1.90% or 3.450 to 184.640.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.26% or 3.25 to $1274.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.86% or 0.40 to hit $46.30 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.22 to trade at $47.86 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.19% to 18.1762, while EUR/MXN rose 0.50% to 20.5446.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 94.61.
