Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 6.65% or 1.310 points to trade at 21.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 3.27% or 0.360 points to end at 11.380 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 2.82% or 1.180 points to 43.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESL), which fell 3.82% or 0.440 points to trade at 11.080 at the close. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) declined 2.65% or 4.940 points to end at 181.260 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) was down 1.68% or 2.180 points to 127.900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 87 to 70 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.65% or 1.310 to 21.000.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.48% or 6.60 to $1360.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 4.70% or 2.23 to hit $45.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 4.73% or 2.31 to trade at $46.49 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.56% to 18.8436, while EUR/MXN rose 0.25% to 20.8521.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.30.
