Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Materials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which rose 3.29% or 11.34 points to trade at 355.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 3.15% or 9.70 points to end at 317.50 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 2.89% or 5.61 points to 199.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which fell 0.96% or 1.18 points to trade at 122.21 at the close. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico SAB de CV Class B (MX:BSMXB) declined 0.85% or 0.260 points to end at 30.370 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) was down 0.77% or 1.40 points to 181.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 148 to 147 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1201.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.55% or 0.37 to hit $66.83 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.30 to trade at $72.31 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.22% to 18.8884, while EUR/MXN fell 1.75% to 21.4276.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 96.56.
