Investing.com - (NYSE:John Deere) shares jumped Friday as second quarter to April earnings sailed past estimates.
The U.S. equipment maker reported EPS for the quarter of $2.49 against estimate of $1.68 and $1.56 a year earlier.
Revenues for the quarter were up 5% at $8.29 bn as it reported improved demand for farm and construction equipment.
The company forecast higher full-year earnings on a 9% rise in sales.
Deere shares were up 5.51% at $118.82 in pre-market trade at 07:45 ET.
