Bitcoin price today: rises past $120k as US House passes key crypto bills
Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Transport and Marine Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co Ltd (TYO:4506), which rose 9.72% or 69.00 points to trade at 779.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. (TYO:5802) added 8.04% or 224.00 points to end at 3,009.00 and Kyocera Corp. (TYO:6971) was up 7.44% or 117.50 points to 1,696.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (TYO:7211), which fell 14.74% or 65.70 points to trade at 380.00 at the close. Yamaha Motor Co Ltd (TYO:7272) declined 3.65% or 45.50 points to end at 1,200.00 and Aozora Bank, Ltd. (TYO:8304) was down 3.29% or 78.00 points to 2,292.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2082 to 1528 and 255 ended unchanged.

The Nikkei Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 2.48% to 20.48.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.56% or 1.14 to $72.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.88% or 0.67 to hit $75.29 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 15.00 to trade at $2,842.10 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was up 0.32% to 155.24, while EUR/JPY fell 0.09% to 159.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 108.68.
