Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 2.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 3.13% or 0.270 points to trade at 8.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 1.41% or 0.0115 points to end at 0.8300 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 15.0800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which fell 6.86% or 0.9000 points to trade at 12.2100 at the close. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 5.85% or 0.158 points to end at 2.542 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was down 5.71% or 0.315 points to 5.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 263 to 79 and 11 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.10% or 0.59 to $53.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.39% or 0.79 to hit $56.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.45 to trade at $1231.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.0735, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8619.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 100.05.
