Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.71% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 3.18% or 0.420 points to trade at 13.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 0.56% or 0.12 points to end at 21.51 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 0.16% or 0.01 points to 6.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset (MI:MS), which fell 3.96% or 0.144 points to trade at 3.488 at the close. Atlantia (MI:ATL) declined 3.79% or 0.91 points to end at 23.09 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was down 3.40% or 0.53 points to 15.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 282 to 81 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.59% or 0.31 to $52.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.94% or 0.52 to hit $54.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1291.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.0700, while EUR/GBP fell 1.00% to 0.8384.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 99.69.
