Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italgas SpA (MI:IG), which rose 1.36% or 0.06 points to trade at 4.62 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) added 1.31% or 0.190 points to end at 14.720 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was up 1.20% or 0.120 points to 10.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which fell 4.43% or 1.19 points to trade at 25.66 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 3.10% or 0.1220 points to end at 3.8080 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was down 2.96% or 0.092 points to 3.018.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 191 to 159 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.68% or 1.89 to $49.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.39% or 1.83 to hit $52.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.17 to trade at $1255.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1217, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8654.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 97.05.
