Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 1.51% or 0.0115 points to trade at 0.7710 at the close. Meanwhile, UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) added 1.14% or 0.1400 points to end at 12.4400 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was up 0.92% or 0.130 points to 14.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 3.70% or 0.60 points to trade at 15.61 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 3.05% or 0.70 points to end at 22.27 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was down 3.04% or 0.73 points to 23.28.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 204 to 130 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) rose to 5-year highs; rising 0.92% or 0.130 to 14.270.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.32% or 0.71 to $54.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.16% or 0.65 to hit $56.49 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 16.75 to trade at $1250.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.0581, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 100.98.
