Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 2.53% or 0.068 points to trade at 2.756 at the close. Meanwhile, FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) added 2.10% or 0.14 points to end at 6.57 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 1.65% or 0.41 points to 25.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which fell 3.11% or 0.300 points to trade at 9.355 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 2.62% or 0.0235 points to end at 0.8740 and Saipem (MI:SPMI) was down 1.50% or 0.0060 points to 0.3930.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 219 to 139 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.84% or 0.41 to $49.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.79% or 0.41 to hit $52.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.79 to trade at $1252.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1128, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8562.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 97.52.
