Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 3.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Inwit (BIT:INWT), which rose 2.12% or 0.21 points to trade at 9.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) added 1.98% or 0.09 points to end at 4.69 and Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:TRN) was up 1.40% or 0.11 points to 8.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM), which fell 10.16% or 1.25 points to trade at 11.08 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) declined 8.37% or 1.99 points to end at 21.79 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) was down 7.73% or 1.24 points to 14.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 476 to 102 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) fell to 3-years lows; losing 10.16% or 1.25 to 11.08. Shares in Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.98% or 0.09 to 4.69.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.88% or 0.60 to $67.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.45% or 1.04 to hit $70.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.87% or 25.31 to trade at $2,926.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 106.10.
