Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:PIRC), which rose 4.64% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) added 3.97% or 1.49 points to end at 39.00 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) was up 2.09% or 0.05 points to 2.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which fell 12.18% or 7.92 points to trade at 57.12 at the close. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) declined 7.91% or 38.20 points to end at 444.90 and Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) was down 5.21% or 0.67 points to 12.27.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 317 to 211 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) rose to all time highs; rising 3.97% or 1.49 to 39.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.26% or 1.55 to $70.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.89% or 1.36 to hit $73.43 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.36% or 39.79 to trade at $2,890.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.72% at 107.09.
